Hilarious Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 I use the Maxima 80wt MTL. Tranny looked brand new when I tore it down couple of months ago. Stock clutch discs looked bad, but that wasnt the oil's fault. Lol. That was my fault. Quote
dirt-riceburner Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 I've been using Castrol 20-50 for 6 years now and no problems. So far, I'm only on my 2nd set of clutch and the basket and gears look absolutely look brand new. I usually change oil after 3 rides. Quote
TREELIZARD Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 castrol GTX 20W-50 or ATF type F. I have used both for years in all of my 2 stroke dirt bikes that i have had and i have been using it in my banshee since i bought it new in 2001. Quote
jbooker82 Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Rotella 15/40 is a killer trans oil. My bro runs there synthetic 5w40 in his raptor. Has not had one problem with clutch slippage. I read that lots of other people run this oil with no probems ethire. I run Bel Ray Gear Saver in my Banshee transmission Quote
steveodo Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 I run the valvoline atv 4 stroke oil 10-40 seems to work good never slips, I change my oil after every good weekend ride an it looks good Quote
