96dragbanshee Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 I rode my bike 2 days ago and tried to start it last night and had no spark. My leads have a resistance of 14.67 which is around where it should be. Is this a faulty plug problem. I have no spark and i have a brand new wiring harness new cdi new ignition new pick up coil. Help please. Thanks in advance. The tors is gone btw. Quote
BenBB Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 I'd definitely try new plugs first, then do resistance test on the stator... Quote
96dragbanshee Posted July 18, 2006 Author Report Posted July 18, 2006 it doesnt look good. New plugs and nothing. resistance on the stator nothing another 300 bucks oh well make the total on the bike 10000 dollars. Should have bought new one when i had the damn thing a part this winter. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Quote
BenBB Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 It happens...stator just went out on mine too :: Quote
96dragbanshee Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 what is the best in the business for stator any ideas? Turning my bike into 6mil stroker needing ideas let me know thanks Quote
Animalman294 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Since you're in the mood I'd tear that damn TORS unit off there too. That too can show signs of what you are experiencing............... Quote
DRI4life Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 (edited) he already said he removed the TORS... check your harness and look for breaks or melted wires maybe a loose ground.. gets real close by the exhaust.. did you change any parts before that last ride? and when you try a new part like a coil or cdi or stator just return it if it doesnt fix your bike.. Turning my bike into 6mil stroker needing ideas let me know thanks Ricky Stator makes damn good stuff, I never had a problem with theirs. I haven't tried Electrex yet but I'm going to order one today for my RZ (Ricky doesn't have 'em). If you're going all-out with a drag bike you might consider an MSD system... Quote
watkins Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Ricky Stator makes damn good stuff I 2nd that. Have one of his 200W stators on mine and I havent had any issues. Quote
