RILS Posted July 16, 2006 Report Posted July 16, 2006 Doesanybody know about the trinity 420cc big bore kit or what its like to ride? Sounds to me like you might want to look at a dune port 4mill stroker with a noss head at about 180psi or even a stk stroke dune port with that same compression and small carbs will produce a lot of lowend, atleast a hell of a lot more than stock. These options will be far cheaper and will run harder than that trinity setup from what ive seen. The trinity 420 kit that I rode was all or nothing. It did have a race port though. I think that the 4 mill stroker would be a good motor for what you need. But if you don't want to spend as much stick with stock stroke. I have a dune port, t-5's, v-force, k&n pods, stock carbs, +4 degree advance and mine has a decent amount of bottom end and moves on the top . If you wanted a little more you might consider a 2:1 carb set-up. Oh yeah and if you get a cub you will have to get a longer swingarm trust me. I rode it with a stock swingarm and it could easily put me on my back. Quote
Quinton Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 I was planning on getting an alba +4 swing arm if i got the cheetah. Quote
BigRed350x Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Doesanybody know about the trinity 420cc big bore kit or what its like to ride? Nothing fancy. I walk all over them every time I meet someone with one. I'm not impressed by them at all. Even ported ones aren't too fancy. Quote
kb01shee Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 If you don't want to spend alot of money sandgrencivic2k1 and his cousin picked up +4 swingarms for a $100. I could ask him where they got them. They look decent, however they use the stock carrier. Quote
Animalman294 Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Stock carrier? I can't keep anything stock for very long............... :yelrotflmao: Quote
sandgrencivic2k1 Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 I have a 472 cheetah. It runs awesome. They have more low end then you can imagine. My cousin has a 421 cheetah cub. We have the same tires, weigh close to the same, same swingarms. Basically everything is the same including the shearer pipes except I have the PV 472 and he has the 421 cub. With the same gearing, up the face of Sand Mountain, NV I can run 5th gear where he pulls 4th gear. The main reason for it is I have the low end for it to pull up into the powerband for 5th where he is lacking. They are two different bikes. If you want an all or nothing bike, go with the cub. But if you want a smooth powerband that pulls hard from bottom to top go with the PV Cheetah. I had mine done at Trinity Racing. I know a lot of people won't deal with them, and was leary to do it. However they had a nice turn around time, always answered my questions and were easy to deal with. When the throttle cable was different they had no problem sending the right one out next day. They gave me a close place to start on my jetting. So if you want to ride trails then I would get the powervalve Quote
