I had a thread up about a problem with my stingers(stock stingers/FMF pipes/Toomey silencers=a mess). Heres the deal I bought a Boss Intake and now with that on, my carbs hit the stingers big time and the left stinger is pinned to the frame.

If I buy the FMF stinger kit it's like $175 but If I sell them in a few months I'll probably only get 2-250 for them right....So that seems like a waste, besides there ugly.

Or should I just take off the sweet looking intake I bought and garage it until I get new pipes next winter and make do with my jimmy rigged exhaust as it is?

I was planning on porting(supposebly my shees already ported, I can smoke shees that are piped & the normal boltons) and getting new pipes next winter anyhow so do I just cut my losses and buy the pipes and be done with it

All I do is Dune ride... drag, tree shots, and some trails, full throttle alot. I can get CPI's for $550 here in town. Out of town mon-fri and I want to go riding Sat so I got to decide.

Come on guys give me your input and help a brother out.

Thanks Geoff

I would just get the cpi's,However depending on your carb size you may end up clamping the cpi stingers to the frame to clear your clamp ons.I now on my cub with 38's the inframe cpi's just touched the carb cap but you can turn the carbs for clearance a little bit.

bansheeseat$$, Thats what I'm leaning towards. I just personaly haven't got to ride a shee with CPI's and thats alot of cash for me, so I don't want to make a bad move & waste my money by going in blind so to speak.

Everything I've heard is good, but like you and many others have said about exhausts is that everyone has avery different opinion for the most part.

Thanks
