Like new mod quad cool head with 21 cc pro-design domes. Will need new o-rings. Asking 175 Will trade for a pro-design head, or noss . going big bore

just curious why you're selling your modquad one since the domes are interchangeable. all you need to do is buy some big bore domes i would think...

The head has recesses cut around the outside of the domes for better cooling which makes it so I can't use big bore domes with the o-ring on the outside. Wish I could as it's nice not to have to change studs.

i dont get it. im pretty sure NOSS makes the mod quad heads. ive got big bore domes in my bike and theyll fit pro design or noss head. i think u need to see whats up before you get rid of the head.

I've never seen a ModQuad head but if it is a one-piece head, the domes for the 68mm pistons probably wouldn't work because there would be no 'outside' of the oring groove. 68mm domes have the oring groove on the outside edge using the head shell or body as the outside support for the oring. The 66mm domes have the entire oring groove as part of the dome, not needing part of the head shell to be part of the oring groove.

 

The 68mm domes work in the Noss and Pro Design heads and other heads that surround the entire circumference of the base of the dome.

Thanks dlnoss. That's exactly my problem. I need to swap for a noss or pro-design set-up. Preferably a noss.
