Hmm, I just wonder sometimes how you guys run such rich mains with this setup. My neighbor has:

2004 Banshee

+4 timing

K&N Filter kit

Fatties W/ Powercore II silencers

He has 270 Mains in it now we tried to put in 300's and I could not even get the bike to stay running no matter what I did with the pilots. He has the Dynotune needles. We have not had time to do the plug chop yet, I think we will end up with 280's in it.

I just see people posting running 300+ mains with these mods and I can't see how that can be. We are at 187 ' elevation.

Every bike is different but it seems like a big difference to me.

Gee thats funny. I'm running 240's w/ my Fatties and it's still a bit rich. and the slip that came w/ them said to run the stock #25 pilot.(needs to go to a #27.5 at least, a little cranky to start cold.)

sorry my mistake, found the slip. said #30 pilot. guess I still need to up the pilot anyway. still got the 240 mains though.

Everyone's bike is different.

I had 340 mains with my fattys with K&N pod filters and it ran

like a monkey with his nuts on fire lookin' for a watering hole. :bolt:

Outside temp and Elevation are big factors in your jetting.

I second Hilarious... when i ran that same setup at sea level i was at 310 on the mains, stock pilot and dynojet needle in the 4th clip and it ran & plug chopped perfectly. Everybike is different.

running my banshee at 320 and 27.5 pilots..........runs like a raped ape....

elevation sea level in portland oregon.

air mix screw at 1.5 turns out:)

good luck

by the way, I tried the pilot at 30 and it would not even start, so.....I would try the 27.5 if I were you

Wow, huge difference. Well we're going to work on both his and mine tomorrow and do plug chops. We will see where we end up. I just wonder if float setting variances have much effect on fuel mixture.

thanks for the input though guys.
