watkins Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 (edited) You can make your own for like $15 or you can take the lazy route like I did and buy one of these: http://www.warpdriveperformance.com/ They are only $35. Edited April 27, 2006 by watkins Quote
Turbobanshee_kid Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Thank you very much! Was it easy to install and did it come with good direction? Quote
watkins Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Took about a 2 min to install... very simple.. the instructions worked for me.. cant really remember how detailed they were. Quote
Turbobanshee_kid Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 do you think the temp gauge is accurate? What temp does it go up to? What would be a hot temp? Quote
watkins Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Im not 100% sure its accurate but I trust it. Its color coded too, so you know when your in normal operating temp and when you are overheating, based on about 10 trips with it I would say its very accurate..... under normal riding condition the needle is where it should be... if I lug it around in 1st gear for an extended period of time it shows the bike is overheating.... But like I said, you can make your own too, there are instructions on the boards here somewhere just search for temp gauge. Quote
wesw Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 meat thermometer one = 10 bucks i guess im just cheap. Quote
Duner440 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 ESR makes an inline temp gauge that you splice into radiator hose. Its pretty trick. I think it comes in three different colors. Im not sure on price though. PM Jeff at FAST (FASTOYS). I think he has them in stock. Quote
DIRTMAN350 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I too use the warpdrive heatseeker. The only downfall of the heatseeker is that it is a little hard to see. You have to lean forward to see it. Other than that have not had any problems with it. Quote
gregbowler Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 just installed a hestseeker yesterday. Looks accurate to me Quote

Turbobanshee_kid Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 I thing i will get it. Quote
Banshee_Guy Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 If you get the one off ebay, make sure you DO NOT get the mechanical one, you have to get the 12 volt one, the mechanical one breaks on the banshee from the vibration, i had one. And 12 volt one is also small enough to mount on the top of your rad cover! They are very accurate, unlike the meat ones, i tried those also! Quote
