biggun6ss Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 I have a toomey needle sitting on the 4th clip right now. With my mods should I keep it there or move it up or down. My mods and elevation are in sig. Quote
batoutofshell Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 how is the shee running on the middle throttle cause thats what the needle is for Quote
biggun6ss Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 It runs good, just wondering what some opinions were. What are some others running with a toomey needle? Quote
ogre03 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I'm set up about the same, minus the v forces, and I run the 4th clip on the toomey needles. If you really want to know if it is better in another spot, give it a shot. I ran mine in the 5th clip when I was running it this last winter. Temps around 0 and below. It's not a big deal to run it in all three (3rd 4th and 5th) positions to find out what runs best. I hear the v forces run richer than stock, so I'd say maybe try the 3rd clip first and see if it's better than where you are at. Quote
biggun6ss Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Im running 320 mains right now, 25 pilots, and needle clip on 4th position and my plug still looks a little rich. I am going to try 27.5 pilots and the needle on the 3rd clip to see if it makes a difference. Quote

2005 banshee Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 (edited) Yo Big....I have the same mods as you plus some mild porting. Running 320 mains 30 pilot, Toomey needle is on the 3rd clip down. I had it in the fourth, but was not pullin wheelies like it should. Once I leaned out the needle and adjusted the air screw....between 1 and 2 turns out. Runs sweet. Edited April 29, 2006 by 2005 banshee Quote
