german hospitality Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Ok, this might be a simple fix but I don't know. The shee starts well and run great when its dry. However when ever I start going through trails with water 1 plug goes down but if I holod the gas wfo it will somtimes come back, it also does it after I wash it. it barely starts and only runs on one plug. Do I have a plug problem, a plug wire, coil issue. Im assuming something is getting wet that isnt supposed to, but what exactly is up there and what is susceptable? Thanks. Quote
batoutofshell Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 do you have the usual crank at the chain? if so your stator could be getting wet my friends shee did that after he washed it. It went out soon after. if not check the coil& plug wires .definetely firing and water issue Quote
pipebomb Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 I agree w/ Bat. check you plug wires and caps. might be getting water in it and shorting it out. my '01 used to do that if I blasted through a deep spot. I fixed it by squirting a little gob of Dilectric grease in the boots. did all my other connecters too. get a tube of Super Lube synthetic grease(comes in 3oz. silver tubes) from the auto parts store. it can be used as a dilectric grease too and it's like half the cost of the 1/2 oz tube of regular dilectric grease and your getting 6x as much.
