Dinner Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) What kind of porting are you getting done, either way you'll notice quite a bit more power than over stock cylinders No you will not need to run ras gas unless you boost your compression up. And more problems won't occur from porting, as long as its done right Edited April 25, 2006 by Dinner Quote
ogre03 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) Getting a port job, will show a good power increase. It allows you to tailor your power to your type and style of riding. You shouldn't have any reliability issues as long as it is performed by a good builder. Also no need for race gas Edited April 25, 2006 by ogre03 Quote
banshee#1 Posted April 25, 2006 Author Report Posted April 25, 2006 im worried about the single carb kit that i have will this take power away or will dual 35's be that much better? also is race gas needed Quote

Might ask Wallrat cuz I think he is running pretty strong with a single Shouldn't need race gas unless you have rasied compression. RIPPEN Quote
hittintrees srh Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 $180 for port work-thats a damn good deal... Quote
gipperz Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hell yes porting is worth it, those t5's will really wake up. I would have someone that has done porting on the banshee cylinders. Alot of guys can do porting, only a few can extract serious power. All depends how you ride. No need for race gas, only when you raise your compression. Single carb should work good with the porting, duals would be better if you like to rev the piss out of it and get every ounce of power.. No problems with porting just do some research on the guy thats going to do the porting. I chose Jeff @ f.a.s.t. for many reasons. Good luck to you. Quote
banshee#1 Posted April 26, 2006 Author Report Posted April 26, 2006 i really wanted to go with jeff at fast but hes backed up till june 15 so i chose redline rcing i havent herd nething but positive from them so will give it a shot see how it goes hopefully itll ripp wen it comes back to me! i went with a mid/ top port he claims 65-70 hp Quote
