hey guys i was riding my shee today like i do every day but i noticed i had oil spots on my ankle and so i looked around and i can see some what looks to be oil coming out of where the pipe comes onto

the motor.... thats not normal is it?

 

and it dont look like normal oil its like a greyish color but its slippery and it dont feel like any metal shavings in it and the motor was just rebuilt

Nope, my fmf pipes did the same thing and they replaced them with new ones. There were tiny pin holes in the welds. Call up your pipe manufacture and see if they will fix them.

I dont know if they would replace them, but they might cut you a deal on some new t5's (better than t6's IMO) if your have holes in them. Its worth a try, if not im selling some new fmf sst's :D

my '01 did the spitting oil thing out of the head at the pipe last year. the stock springs were worn and left um move around a bit. put new O-rings and new srrings on and all fixed.

LOL, that would be the first thing I'd check before forking out money for new pipes.

 

I'd be willing to bet if your pipes are old like you say they are...they're due for new o-rings. :cheers:

new o rings, and i used to double up the pipe springs, to hold the headpipe up tight to the exhaust flange.
