00tbanshee Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 i know there is alot to porting your cylinders but was wonder how much porting can you go with stock carbs. i have seen alot of guys picks of port jobs and some are pretty hogged out in was wondering about how much of a gain they might be geating from stock carbs. example RBracing Quote
00tbanshee Posted April 23, 2006 Author Report Posted April 23, 2006 one more thing what does opening the holes bigger in the pistons do? does it help much? Quote
CadillacBanshee Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 You can go as big as you want. The carbs will just be limiting the output of the engine. I just got a full drag port on my cyl and i have stock carbs. It hauls ass and i know the potential for more power is there, i just have to get bigger carbs. Quote

fastbanshee4u Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Stock carbs can do more than most give them credit.Yes a bigger carb ,better top end on a well built engine. Many guys are over carbed on 350cc bikes. Quote
