PM Boonman. he is doing it still i think. Basically they machine it down to take some weight off of it. Quote
rocketboy Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 blaster star mod ?????? enlighten us please Quote
pipebomb Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 Blaster shift mod is using the retainer arm for the shift star off of a blaster to replace that wimpy one on the banshee. the blaster one uses a wider roller on it instead of that puny washer on the banshee one. its. basically a cheaper version of the Shift-pro kit. knight_ripper Posted April 12, 2006 Author Report Posted April 12, 2006 exactly what he said ^^^^^^^ I havnt installed it yet....get it tomorrow. so we will see. cant wait to not slip into neutral heading up a steep hill any more. I always eat my bars with my stomach when that happenes. Quote
knight_ripper Posted April 13, 2006 Author Report Posted April 13, 2006 heres the link to the forum that got me to do the mod. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...6313&hl=blaster looks good. I dont have a mod'd star on there...Im thinking I dont need one. I guess doing both is purty much overkill. since the blaster mod seems to take the place of doing the mod'd star. cant wait...just got it...going on tonght....and this weekend we ride. Quote
kawiking Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 i have a new timing plate, i put it on today and my buddy is taking my flywheel to get lightened. what degree is good to adjust the plate?? i put it on plus 5 for now. Quote
knight_ripper Posted April 15, 2006 Author Report Posted April 15, 2006 I have no idea bro. Everyone in here does +4. So did I. Something about loosing top end the more you advance it. So basically you gain low end. But guys that port and drag go up to +11.... also...the higher you go....you want to run race gas...something about keeping it from exploding. lol maybe others will chime in too. Quote
