haynes manual show a green/white comin outta the cdi but not a green/yellow. is the wire ripped outta the connector ? if ya can tell where it came from just put it back, im sure its needed if it comin directly outta the cdi box :whoa:

I really don't know what the 5th wire is for, but it'll run without it; Brad from Dyna posted what it was waaaay back in the day but I forget if it was TORS-related or what...I ran a '97-up Dyna on my '96, just swapped connectors, best I can remember the 5th wire on that CDI was purple, but like I said I taped it off and she ran perfect without it :shrugani:

The green/yellow in the harness is for the parking brake function. The dyna box uses it for the launch limiter. The stock box uses it to to limit the revs with the parking brake on. It's not needed, just one of those liability things, like the TORS. If you don't want it, just leave it disconnected, and it will work fine.

just noticed somthing with that diagram page for wiring. If you scroll down till you see the first flywheel. Looks all nice and stock, the next pic though, all nice and machined lighter. Just caught me a funny right now. But it's late and that could just be it also.

:confused::confused:
