I put 35 PWK's on my shee and it has never been jetted right. Ive dynoed it and the thing is running rich during idle,plus it dies while idleing. then the dyno said its running lean on low end. below half throttle. I was told that I need a set of different needles. anyone have any answers. one other thing Im making 2hp less with this setup, than I am with stock carbs. it feels more powerfull. if that makes any since.Im using 138 main jets and 58 pilots. and I cant raise the idle at all.

main sounds lean to me also, that my also be why your power is down and lean in the middle.

if the main is too small the needle will also be lean no matter where you put the clip.

how do you have your air screws set,you might be able to clean the idle up with them. :bolt:

my needle is the stock needle that came with the carbs, the air screw is out 1.25 turns out. Im thinking about turning it out 2.5 turns out and working my way from their.on my dyno it runs straight from 5500 to 5800 then dipps down 5 hp from 23 hp to 18 hp then at 6200 rpm it jets up nice and smooth to 8800 rpm. at 8800 rpm it levels out then goes up again to 71 hp at 9900 rpm.my air/fuel mixture jets up to 17 at 6800. my first dyno with stock carbs goes to 15.75 at 7 grand nice and contoured. Im sick and tired of -ucking with these carbs. my stock carbs where so easy. I wish I new how to down load this dyno but Ive tried everything.

17 its beyond way too lean

you want it around 12-13 dont ride it wot youll blow it up

who ever told you that doesnt know much you have to clean the sniffer but it shouldnt gum it up.

how can you know your AF on a dyno with a 2 stroke, I was told if you put it in the end of the pipe it will gum up the af tool...

they can and do gum up. ive had it happen to me before..they didnt have a real good reason why either...junk dyno maybe??

 

wakeboarder, your pilot seems huge. in allthe pwk carbs ive ever run at 1000 feet above sea level we have run either 45 or 48 pilots..you might wanna drop that down to at least 50s since you say its runnin rich at idle...
