enFORCER Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Well, I have just voiced my own opinion. And for some reason I have ruffled a few feathers. LOL, its like I walked into a hen house and just pissed all over a bunch of hen's. Nothing more cranky then a bunch of wet hen's If anyone else has anything intelligent to say then fine, lets hear it. Otherwise save your breath. Most likely you will need it to blow up your date tonight. Quote
BilDaKid Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Thanks guys. I was just entertained for.....13 minutes reading this whole posts and laughing my ass off. My boss thinks I've gone crazy. Come on Enforcer, you're really joking with us right? Ha Ha, funny joke. Just look at the facts, the V has shaft drive, it's a fully automatic drive, It has a utility quad's motor, and it weighs over 500 pounds. Those are the facts. If it looks like a utility, it sounds like a utility...... you get my drift. And I don't think everyone's beat you up enough about your comment where the 400 and a blaster are basically the same. Have you even ridden those quads? Quote
enFORCER Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Have you even ridden those quads? 494810 Well yes, I owned a blaster back in the early 90's And I have spent several hours riding a KFX400. In my opinion if you want a small frame quad then any of the 450's would be a good choice over the 400. And all I did was make one comment on the 700. And then the shit hit the fan with a few of the kids. Quote
BilDaKid Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Come one man, so now you're lumping the 400 with the 450's as all "small framed quads"? I only do dune riding these days and I've ridden a z400, a yfz and the new LTR450, and with the exception of the ltr's suspension, there really isn't a huge earth shattering difference in the amount of enjoyment you'll get riding through the dunes. However, take away the clutch, add about 120-150 lbs , and add the physical size and the 700 is in a different class. It's like kinda like a sport-touring motorcycle for the quad world. I'm glad if you're enjoying it, good for you, but on a MX track(god, thinking about jumping that thing is scary), hard baja riding, or pretty much anything other than strait drag racing, the majority of people would enjoy the z400 better. And to Tithead, all these 400's, whether its the suzuki or kawi, are fun quads. It'll never give you a thrill-ride induced hardon like the shee does, but it's still an awesome bike that'll hang with most bikes out there. Why do you think you see so many of them out there? Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Can somebody post the power to weight ratios of the stock 400 and the stock 700? Quote
enFORCER Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 A KFX700 has 50hp stock and weighs 516lbs dry. Don't really know the specs for the 400 Quote
BilDaKid Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Z400 375lbs, 35hp with a pipe..........so 10.5lbs per HP Vforce 516lbs, 47hp stock, so we'll say 50.......10.32lbs per HP So really close, now add the loss of HP through the auto tranny and the shaft drive. The 700 has allot of tourqe, so it'll be very very close. Those are the facts enforcer. Get a really good rider on the 400, and same weight, and I'd put my money on the Z400, especailly if it were anywhere other than pavement. Quote
ScreamingLiL2Stroke Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Anyone got a kfx700 to bring out to sarco this sunday Quote

I have HMF duals, 11:1 pistons, Dalton clutch kit, over ride clutch cover. Web cam's,.modified air box. And I have trim about 25lbs off this quad as well. You lose 10lbs replacing the stock exhaust. stclark816 Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Anyone got a kfx700 to bring out to sarco this sunday 494838 Watch out, Enforcer might just take the road trip to prove his 700 is HUGE, whoops... I mean.. Fast.. Quote
enFORCER Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 The hp of my KFX700 as it sits now is between 65-70hp. Quote

There will be a guy at St. Joe Saturday with a z-400 that has a few grand in it. He has a 435 kit, its ported, aftermarket cams, carb, pipe ect ect. He had it dynoed and it make 40hp. It was dynoed by Jeff Ross of (Thebomracing.com) in Missouri. So I don't think a piped 400 will make 35hp. Quote

bigboybanshee Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 35hp with a pipe? Dream on! Well why don't you argue that with CTracing, Mr. Knowitall. http://www.ctracing.com/z400_kfx4001.htm Keep flapping those lips, show us how ignorant you really can be Quote
