mybanshees2fast4u Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 I just bought my banshee from a friend and it wont start. I have spark, the timing is at +4, and i have just resealed my top end and now have 100+ for compression, but the bike still wont start. After several kicks it will spudder once or twice like it is about to start but never does. When we try to push start it, if it starts, it sputters and backfires out of the pipes. We keep pulling plugs and drying them off by glass beading them and still just keep getting wet. I have spark and i am running 32:1 oil mixture. I dont know what the jetting is on the bike but it ran once before i bought it on those jets with an air filter and FMF fattys for mods. I am very confused and frustrated to say the least. Quote
MILO Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 (edited) what's your friend have to say about it?? i'd hit him up for some history on what he did to it recently. maybe it's something simple like having the carb bowls swapped, or the carbs out of sync or something Edited March 24, 2006 by MILO Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 I bet ur slides are in backwards for sure had the same prob with mine a few times becuase of rushing the bike back together the cutout on the slide should be facing out of the Venturi(facing u) or if u cant tell by that theres small circles grooved out on each side of a slide make sure there facing the windows on the sides of the carbs. fastbanshee4u Posted March 24, 2006 Report Posted March 24, 2006 Is the flywheel key not sheared and flywheel tight.Best to install new plugs after you foul them. Quote
