cdwood37 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I have taken my motor apart and am going to put it back together myself. What should i get for a motor and what carbs to go with it. I was looking at getting the 12 port stroker kit from passion. thats what i really liked but any suggestions or opinions would really be appreciated. I ride pretty hard in the sand and very little trails. Quote
thegroup Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 i built a 400 banshee last yr for a buddy with the alba stroker kit and trinity single carb. itll run about 85-90 and pull 4th gear on its own. i strongly recommend it since (as soon as my money sic. is up and going) i plan to do this to mine. Alot of ppl on here say dont trust alba, but ive never had a problem with 'em and ive dealt with 'em for about a yr and 1/2 now Banshee Main Page @ Alba Quote
blueshee03 Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 you deffinately won't go wrong with a passion 12 port.they are a great running and reliable motor.jim is also about the best guy you could find to talk to and he deffinately knows his stuff when it comes to making a banshee or any 2 stroke scream as far as that goes. bkabina Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Get the hot duner 12 port from Jim, 35mm pwks,Boss intake,VF-3 reeds,Shearer in-frames, and a Adjustable timing plate.If you ride very little trails and alot of sand You could have him build you a 421 cub instead of the 12 port. Either way you go, both set-ups are incredible.You might need an extra pair of underware after you ride either one also. Quote
