OnlyA2Stroke Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 I am getting ready to purchase the T-5's and I have caught a few posts where people said that the Toomey T-5's have melted their plastic. Is this true with everyone or did they mess up somewhere? If it does melt the plastic, what can I do to prevent it, exhaust wrap, stick-on silver heat deflectors(on the inside of plastic), or anything else? Any suggestions would help. Thanks. Quote
Old Two-Smoke Posted March 12, 2006 Report Posted March 12, 2006 If your melting plastics with t-5s then a piston is next. Go for it, you will love them Quote

banshee tuner Posted March 13, 2006 Report Posted March 13, 2006 When I still had front fenders my left pipe melted the plastic where it touched, but it just melted until it did not contact anymore. No real harm was done. Quote

dawarriorman Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Mine fit fine, aren't closer than an inch from anything. Just get them and pay attention to any area that could be a problem. Quote
