wesw Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 mine smoke more after it sits for a while like couple of weeks. could be the jetting and what type of oil you run. does it clear up?? does it do it every time?? Quote
lastlegwarrior Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 First off, it is a 2 smoke, kinda gotta expect the smoke on start up. But anyway mine kind of does the same then when i let it warm up, i always just thought it was kind of normal for 2 strokes to sort of load up when idling. Quote
luvsmesand Posted February 22, 2006 Author Report Posted February 22, 2006 jetting is dead on, using yamalube same as in our other two strokes the smoking is bad at start up when cold cleans out but it still smokes more than any other bike in our group all the other bikes seam to stop smoking but this one doesnt Quote
sheefreak Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Is it more prevelent on one side? Quote
greg_banshee Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 you mixing 32:1 or whats your ratio ? mine smokes when its cold but thats the nature of the beast but it also goes away when it warms up not completely away but nothin like when its cold and i use Yamha-Lube to. Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Eighter the type of oil or premix ratio you are running, mine has never smoked bad even before I rebuilt. I run amsoil at 40:1 Quote
luvsmesand Posted February 23, 2006 Author Report Posted February 23, 2006 mixing at 32:1 and it does seem a little heavier on the right side taking it out to sand mountain this weekend feel sorry for the people that ride behind me Quote

Something is wrong with your jetting. Quote
Wicked98Shee Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 mine smokes while its cold but after it warms up it mostly clears up, only smokes a trace amount when up to temp. i agree with bigred .. it sounds its ur jetting and oil ratio .... and if oil ratio and jettin and is spot on ya won't load up not a lil bit at idle, even for long periods of time Quote
