motoboy17us2007 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 I want to race the shee I just bought (02) and I want to do xc. Well heres my question what size a arms should I use (+2+1;+1+0 etc....) and what type of shox front and maybe rear if you guys think I need it. BTW I weigh 160 lbs Quote
aschultz91 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 well for shocks if your on a budget get front Elka's and just send the rear shock to get it rebuilt. If you have a larger budget just get an elka rear shock also. They are nice. IF you go +2+1 a arms you will get more stability but the bike will be almost 4 inches wider so its harder to fit through those tight trails. Its kinda give and take. If you are going to get +2 aarms get +1 (moves the a arms 1 inch foward) hope this helps Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 Go watch a race and see what the winners are running and that will give you an idea. Quote
vitovito240 Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 might want to rethink useing a banshee they are real sucky at jumping, keep the money your going to spend on your bike, sell the banshee and buy a 450. Quote
motoboy17us2007 Posted February 13, 2006 Author Report Posted February 13, 2006 Thats y I want to do CC no jumps alot of acceleration Quote
MonkeyBoy Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 The banshee is a pain to haul around for two hours. But if you insist... +1 at the most, you need to fit between the trees. Find the best shocks you can afford, and buy nicer ones. The banshee needs all the suspension help it can get. Quote
