banshee223 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Right now my bike has the pro flow intake with 35 pwk carbs and I was wondering if it would be better to put k&n clamp on's instead of the pro flow intake. If so, do they make a clamp on that will fit a 35 pwk carb, if they do what size or part number would it be, I have no air box, it looks like the airbox was cut out and they left the pro flow on with out the airbox. Any advice would be helpful thanks. O yea this is a flat track quad but it will see some sand and woods riding, probably very little water. Quote
jjfizzle51 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 im guessing but not sure if your airbox is already cut out i dont think that the clamp ons would help that much thats the biggest gain is the more airflow maybe a little gain but i really dont see how it would make huge gains just what i though may not be true Quote
banshee tuner Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 The main power gain is getting rid of the air box. Quote
banshee223 Posted February 11, 2006 Author Report Posted February 11, 2006 (edited) Well kind of the reason I thought about going to clamp ons is because my aftermarket rear shock has like a rezzie on it and the braided line comes off of the top of the shock and the line is rubbing the shit out of my air filter almost to the point of makeing a hole in it, and plus its easier to take the carbs of with clamp ons instead of fighting to get the pro flow on. banshee tuner Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 Sounds like you allready have enough reason to change to pods. Quote
banshee223 Posted February 11, 2006 Author Report Posted February 11, 2006 but what size or part number would I need to fit a 35mm pwk carbs Quote
Bansheeduner02 Posted February 11, 2006 Report Posted February 11, 2006 just talk to some guy at the local parts store and get some they should no matter what plus if they are a little tight it will provide a good seal. Quote
