sandrappy Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Is it bad for a banshee motor too idle for long time? 469707 Well 2 strokes aren't real effiecent at an idle, such as the pipes and ports ect... aren't working like they should at that rpm. So what you get if you leave a 2 stroke idleing for a long time is that they will load up since they can't burn 100% of the fuel at an idle. Plus if it goes to long it will overheat from no air flow. banshee tuner Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Usually they will run hot or foul the plugs, but if you have not had a problem you probably wont. Quote
lonestar Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Is it bad for a banshee motor too idle for long time? 469707 It will load up. It's not a four stroke. To much vibration for a 2 stroke to let it sit their idling for a long time without hitting the throttle every 10 sec or so. You have to hit the throttle to blow off the excess fuel off the needles at the carbs. So it won't load up. Quote
