Cotton eyed Joe Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 WD-40 works as a good "releasing" agent. Just be sure to rinse it off well afterwards. Quote
[email protected] Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 i use Formula 88 , and soap in abucket , then do the formula88 all over the bike in a sprayer let it set for about 2 minutes then wash off again that does the trix Quote
[email protected] Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 once bikes washed n dry spray entire bike with wd40 and itll look brand new Quote

woodro77 Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 I USE A SPRAY CALLED HONDABRITE , YOU GET IT FROM A HONDA DEALER. THE STUFF IS AMAZING CLEANS EVERYTHING AND DOESNT HURT PLASTICS ,STICKERS OR PAINT . WET BIKE SPRAY OVER QUAD LET IT SIT A COUPLE MINUTES , WASH OFF NO NEED FOR PRESURE WASHER. TRY IT AND YOU WILL THANK ME (A LITTLE EXPENSIVE ABOUT 8 BUCKS A BOTTLE) Quote
ghostryder420 Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 ummm soap and water is good for cleaning stuff... your hands, your bike, dishes, cars, the list goes on... Quote
Mullet Man Posted February 6, 2006 Author Report Posted February 6, 2006 alright, thanks. i might try that honda stuff... Quote
sparkdic Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 I usually follow a ritual everytime i go out on my shee... Right when i get back i use the pressure with a lower pressure nozzle (just enough to get the big mud off but not peel stickers) then i take the plastics off and wash it all down with a long bristle brush and soap(carwash) and water inside and out. after it dries i use tire shine ( the biggest, cheepest bottle i can find) the spary the inside of the plastics and spots i can't get to with the plastics on. reassemble the quad and tire shine the whole shit N' shebang. It looks so pretty sittin in the garage. Then before i head out on it I reapply a heavy coat of tire shine the everything exp. the seat(that leads to slippery situation). The tire shine will provide a layer between the mud and ur bike, making the muck come off with ease. The Hondabrite is some wicked stuff but as said before, pricey. And the WD40 works but has a tendency to discolor plastics where the tire shine doesn't, plus i get 32 oz bottles of tire shine for like 4 bucks at Autozone so it's relatively cheap. But everyone has there own way i guess but i like the results i get... My 96 looks better then most of my friends 02 and newer quads... Quote
