  1. I love how u have to cut holes in ur legs to run the exhaust... whos great idea was.... oh nm
  2. Ok, my buddy used this one nite and got 9 numbers, and they were actually the girls numbers... Mind u he is short fat and bald, kinda looks like a white D-bo... "Damn i like ur boobs/ass, my name is tommy, my balls are huge, i"m hung like a studded field mouse and i have an ass like a jackhammer, can i see u naked?" I think I helped him out on the first one cuz I spit my beer all over the poor girl... lol
  3. Hey thanks alot guys. if that peg is broke, is it a replacable peice? Cus I have a machine/lathe and could just make a new one. I'm happy to hear that this isn't going to be a very expensive repair, since i'm on the broke side at the moment and really don't want to ahev to leave her sit for awhile... Again thanks alot
  4. Ok so I took my shee out at my buddy's friday nite and we were just making laps around one of the fields all nite and draggin on the straights ( It's fun beating a build 450r with a mild banshee  ). But on the last lap I was planning to make I went into the last turn and the bike wouldn't downshift at all, but it would upshift. So I just rode back to the garage (startin form a dead stop in 4th gear sucks). I tried wiggling the shift shaft around hoping it just came of the star, basically looking for any thing dumb to not have to tear the bike apart. Now my buddy used to run banshee's a few years backa nd him and his old man said sounds like I bent the shift shaft, Sound right to anyone? I just really want to have a good idea of what I'm gettin into here before I tear the bike down... Thanks ahead of time...
  5. yeah, broken tail bones suck... I broke mine twice and bruised it once thanks to my stupidity on my shee. The first time a bruised it from jumpin the top of a hill and landing vertical, I still jumped higher then the raptor who was tryin to show me up, the first time i broke it was from doing high chair wheelies ( sitting on the handle bars) and draggin the grab bar... on my road, in front of my house, my dad just laughed at me... and then laughed at me more when i got back on and started doing more wheelies, then the pain set in... ouch. The last time was from over jumping a table top, bike roosted alot harder then i was expecting on the take off, yeah bent the frame adn the dura blue HD axle in 5 places, that sucked the worst...
  6. No i honestly noted a difference, and when I try any new parts, i ran the bike for about 15 mins through different types of riding, hills, mud, straights, jumps. I changed the balance pipe out for the boost bottle, re ran the same things, same place same amount of times, there was a noticable difference. It wasn't a power gain by any means but with the way the engine responded to the throttle was definately changed. But everyone is entitled to their opinions...
  7. I bought a white bros boost bottle of my buddy for $10 cuz they sent him 2, plus he gave me a set of brand new stock tires, it was well worth the deal... But I did notice a good difference after i installed it. right after i installed it the throttle responded quicker and and the powerband kicked in reliabily at the same rpm. I loved it. by the way my shee rejoined the living monday nite! very exciting times for this guy right here...
  8. I have to admit, I thought they were pretty wicked looking at first, that was untill i saw them on a bike then i was like, whoa..... the bigest part i didn't like was the gap from the front fenders to the tires, i do a alot of trail riding and end up along side train tracks too much.... so my first thought was that could make rocks and sticks.... reallly.... hurt. The backs do look cool, but it's still hard to beat the classic look of a shee, no doubt.
  9. I usually follow a ritual everytime i go out on my shee... Right when i get back i use the pressure with a lower pressure nozzle (just enough to get the big mud off but not peel stickers) then i take the plastics off and wash it all down with a long bristle brush and soap(carwash) and water inside and out. after it dries i use tire shine ( the biggest, cheepest bottle i can find) the spary the inside of the plastics and spots i can't get to with the plastics on. reassemble the quad and tire shine the whole shit N' shebang. It looks so pretty sittin in the garage. Then before i head out on it I reapply a heavy coat of tire shine the everything exp. the seat(that leads to slippery situation). The tire shine will provide a layer between the mud and ur bike, making the muck come off with ease. The Hondabrite is some wicked stuff but as said before, pricey. And the WD40 works but has a tendency to discolor plastics where the tire shine doesn't, plus i get 32 oz bottles of tire shine for like 4 bucks at Autozone so it's relatively cheap. But everyone has there own way i guess but i like the results i get... My 96 looks better then most of my friends 02 and newer quads...
  10. thanks alot so far guys. But right now I'm just going to barely do the main things like pistons and what not cuz my money sit. is pretty tight (not to meantion i have 2 cars apart that have to be ready for the spring). So gettin a new head and what not prolly won't be in the cards till next year. My friend has been trying for a while to get me a motofast kit from someone he knows that has a few in the garage but won't come off them .
  11. Ok so he's the deal, I'm in the planning stages of my winter rebuild on the old shee. Now I've done lots of engine work before but this is the first I've ever tore into a shee. I have the engine all tore down, the cylinders r perfect so i'm not boring it, just giving it a quick hone job. I'm going to pop in some new pistons but not sure what to go with. I was looking at different wisco sets one was the pro-lites and the other was just stock replacements. I was also looking at reeds, which i was looking at using the stock cages but just wanted to freshen them up while its apart. all my other mods r as follows... fmf gold series pipes and silencers, stock carbs with limiters removed, K&n power kit, white bros boost bottle, i use the stock air box, and thats about it. As far as how i ride the bike, i mainly trail ride and hit the occational local hare scramble, of course my version of trail riding is almost like racing scrambles... but anyways any info but this matter can help and is appreciated.... thanks
