bansheeigo Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I was wondering if a stock flywheel can be lightened and bigger magnets can be added so when idling at low rpms my lights can still be bright and also have a faster reving engine? Quote
thegroup Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 y dont u just have it lightened and get a higher output stator Quote
bansheeigo Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 So you're saying it can't be done?,magnet wise. Quote
RNBRAD Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 That's called buying a Ricky Stator flywheel then having it lightened. Quote
bansheeigo Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 Ricky told me they can't do that because of thier larger magnets they put on.I'm just wondering if anybody has done this already? Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I've seen on here before that a lightened ricky stator flywheel will come apart, that it is not recommended to cut them. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 (edited) I've seen on here before that a lightened ricky stator flywheel will come apart, that it is not recommended to cut them. 461717[/snapback] That was my Ricky Stator flywheel that sheared. Boonman had lightened it for me and since he had never done a Ricky Stator one before (I also didn't think to tell him it wasn't stock) he cut a little deep. It looked fine and I installed it but it sheared the center hub from the rest of the wheel in under an hour. He now has all the measurements for them and can lighten them with no worry. I would not hesitate to send him another Ricky flywheel. PM Boonman for more details. Here's a picture of it. Edited January 19, 2006 by PUSH THE THROTTLE Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Glad someone cleared that up, I just hate to see someone have theirs come apart on them. Quote
bansheeigo Posted January 19, 2006 Author Report Posted January 19, 2006 Thanks for all your answers. Quote
