I checked almost everything

1.wires

2.stator(was bad ,replaced it with a RS 200w set it at 3 degrees)

3.carburetor(stock carbs,no tors, took it part and cleaned it)

4.coil

5.spark plugs(put new ones)

6.airfilter(its clean)

I started it,warmed it up and it idles good so i took it out and i hauled ass through all gears but on 6th gear while hauling ass it was bogg'in out but i still had the throttle open then it cleared out then it boggs again in 6th gear. when i stopped it was idling high but it wasn't hot.It does real good in 1,2,3,4,5 but in 6th gear it boggs.Whats up with this?

Thanks for your help.

I had this same problem with my bike when I ran it in sand. I went to a builder at RIS Designs and he told me that the bike needed more torque to pull the bike at that high of gear. I Raised the REAR gear 2 teeth and it ran fine. Now that i have my bike ported, he said to leave one tooth more than stock in the back. For short races i could leave the 2 extra teeth. Good luck

Could still be the case. Figure you're fighting a whole heap of wind resistance. I'd try 1 tooth smaller on the front (1 tooth on front = 3 on rear). See if it helps. You sure you're not lean? You could try moving up one size on the mains just to make sure.

thats what i was thinking. my buddy's 03 would idle real high only when it was about out of gas, so lean could be the one part of it. what all mods do u have done so far?

its not lean,i have a temperature gauge on my shee and it read 175 degrees.I was thinking it was my coil, maybe one side was going out then coming back on.Checked the coil and it was ok.I'll change the front sprocket and maybe the back one too.

CadillacBanshee you wer're right i put a back sprocket on with two more teeth than stock and it ran like bat out of hell,Thanks. And the high idling, I just needed to adjust the idle screws thats it, and again thanks to all who help.

If you are running 6th gear pinned then your bowls may be running out of fuel. Just a thought.

Only cons to raising teeth in the back or dropping them in the front is that you will loose some top speed. I drop one in the front when I head to the dunes and I really like it, when back on the hard pack I go up to stock again.

Oh ya good point Watkins! Are you running a fuel filter? Adding a fuel filter in addition to the stock one in the tank doesn't really do much except slow down the rate of fuel. Also if your filter is gummed up that could cause it too.
