Putting on Alba Graphics I NEED HELP!

I put on my graphics the other day... and im getting really frustrated. The problem I have is that they do NOT want to stick in some areas. Have any of you had this problem? I sanded it down and washed it off like the instructions said to. They just will not stick. Any Ideas??

thats wierd, it must be a product defect. The banshee has no area that curves enough for that to happen. Some places on my RM 250 on the other hand have hard curves and the graphics didnt stick at all in some places, i just left it and the rest has stuck fine for the 5 months i had them on so far. The places it didnt stick wernt that noticable though, so i didnt mind.

Use boiling hot water, works everytime Even makes the graphics more flexible on the bends.

You could try a heat gun to heat up the glue, and it might help mole the graphics a little better

The problem i had with alba flame graphics is that they were so thick that they wouldnt bend around the curves without kinking or leaving parts raised.It was the biggest waste of money that i spent/along with ufo plastics that cracked the first ride out.

I used a heat gun and water with a little soap in it so you can slide it around. There are no wrinkles or bubbles at all in mine. I can't see how they could be put on without heat.

I've put on 4 sets now. The original Alba graphics were actually heavier material and more flexible. They went to a thinner, harder type of vinyl a few years back.

 

Anyway, I use water and rubbing alcohol. You make the mix... 3/4 Water 1/4 70% Isopropyl alcohol. Put it in a squirt bottle and liberally spray the fenders and the graphic. You'll be able to slide it around enough to position and reposition. Make sure to keep things wet, and put them on in a cool shaded place.

 

After you get them positioned, it often requires the use of a hairdryer to get parts of the graphics to stick flat to the fenders without bubbling and kinking... Particularly on the front fenders where they bend.

 

After you get everything done... Wait for a nice hot sunny day... Really sunny... Really hot... Let your banshee sit in the direct sun all day. You can't substitute the even heating you get to the graphics and the plastics. Everything will warm up really nicely, the glue will ooze into place, and everything will stick down for the long haul.

I did the same and they are sticking great, and you definetly need HEAT.
