Shee-Male Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 get one off ebay on disc its cheap! Hell pm me your addy and I'll send you a copy if its funds that are holding ya back. Quote
Rooster Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 The owners manual isn't what you need, it doesn't get into that much detail. If you're looking for tire pressures on stockers or jetting help maybe, but nothing like rebuild info. What you need is a Yamaha shop manual. Try something like eBay or the dealer if you don't see one in there. Expect to pay at least $20-30 for one. Rooster Quote

Clymer's does a great job of laying it out. Quote
dawarriorman Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) Yes if you're going to buy a manual get clymers. Yamahas manual is good for torque specs, and thats it. Edited December 8, 2005 by dawarriorman Quote
Rooster Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 (edited) ssanddemon, What I understood when he said "owners manual" was the little yellow folder that comes with the bike. I agree with the comments on the Clymers manuals, that's what he needs, if not the Yamaha Shop manual itsef since that's where Clymers gets their info in the first place. Probably cheaper too. Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Rooster Edited December 8, 2005 by Rooster Quote
MILO Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 Clymer's is the way to go. you can fix about anything with a clymer's and good mechanical abilities. Quote
Flaminchiten Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 Is the Haynes manual any good? Quote
sdbuild1 Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 hi, you can view a banshee manual here http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/service/...rt_manuals.aspx Quote
ssanddemon Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Rooster, I figured out later that you were referring to the factory leaflet that comes with the bike, and you're right- it's worthless! Is the Haynes manual any good? 446433[/snapback] Dunno about Haynes for the shee, never seen one. Seems like everyone uses Clymer's and for good reason; they go into pretty good detail. I wouldn't gamble on Haynes, go with the tried & true! Quote
