  1. I have a 99% stock 1999 Banshee and I want to sell it...I don't know what it is worth. Only mod is a K&N drop in and lid. It has a new clutch also.
  2. Thanks for the reply, I figured I would but wasnt sure so I thought I would ask someone smarter than me about it Looks like I'll order a jet kit with the pods so I can tune in the jetting.
  3. I have a 99 banshee that is currently stock except for the previous owner replaced the intake lid with a K&N filter. I am planning on switching over to the K&N pod filters that attach right to the carbs, I know the previous owner rejetted when he replaced the lid with a filter. I was wondering if I will need to rejet for a change to the pods from the stock box with a filter inplace of the lid. I will be riding it at sea level and dunes only.
  4. Went on got some Renthal grips that say for ATV use and they fit on there just fine, thanks fo the help guys
  5. So I replaced my handlebars because they were broken (cause I rolled it on the trail and the throttle and brake part broke off on my leg!) The clutch side grip went on with no problems nice snug fit, only used a little bit of glue. The throttle / brake side is really loose, slips on/off with no problems, there is like a quarter inch gap inbetween the grip and the bar. Did I get handlebars for a bike and thats where the twist throttle is? Anyway you suggest fixing this? I thought about getting the little plastic thing (twist throttle) and gluing the grip to that then glue the plastic thing to the bars? Or is there a smaller grip I should go get for that side?
  6. I just purchased a bone stock 99 Banshee and I can't keep up with my buddies who ride an 05 yfz and an 06 raptor 700r. And my bike (05 wr450f) will smoke all 3. I'm hoping that I can put a little money into the Shee just so she can keep up with the others for the time being.
  7. The brakes are soft and the pads are pretty shiny and low. What is needed for a "port" do I need to take my cylinders off and send them to someone? Who would be a good company to go to for this? I am in Oregon would prefer someone local. How much does something like this cost? I have read that the T5's seem to respond better to a port, if so this may be a better route than the T6's.
  8. I just purchased a 99 banshee for 1k off a friend of mine who just wanted to get rid of it since he just bought a Raptor 700R and a Bombardier 800 Max. This is my first 2 stroke, my other bike is a 05 WR450F. The bike is bone stock for now and this winter I was planning on a few upgrades. I know for sure the clutch needs to be replaced and the brakes are pretty worn. The bike will see 50/50 riding between dunes and trails. I will ride it on dunes and prolly my bro or girlfriend will ride it on trails with me on my WR. Here is the plan so far. FAST read about this on the site here and everyone seems to agree it is the best. (how much do theses usually end up costing?) Toomey T6's These seem to offer the best performance for what I'm looking for, mix between top end and mid range. And a NOSS head with stock domes or one size smaller to raise the compression. Not sure if its worth doing the head if I put in the stock size domes. Those are my plans for this winter, what kind of performance can expect? Do you think I will be able to keep up with a lightly modded raptor 700r and a heavily modded yzf450 on the dunes?
