2003LimitedBanshee Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 I need a bit of help finding a raised mount or bars with more rise. My dad also has a shee and he complains about his bars being too low (he's 6'3") if he has to stand up. I did some searching but didn't find exactly what I was looking for so... Does anyone know if some company makes stock size 7/8" bars that have a bigger rise than stock (maybe 2"). Or does anyone know of a company that makes a +2" riser for the stock 7/8" bars? Open to other ideas also. He didn't really say he wanted the fat bars, so... Christmas Hunting any help appreciated. Thanks! Quote
dawarriorman Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 If you get a set of fat bars, you can get the adapters that just bolt on to your existing clamps, and put you 3/4" higher. That with a high bend handlebar should be plenty. Quote
brilei5 Posted December 5, 2005 Report Posted December 5, 2005 ROX Riser is the slickest way to go. Sled guys use them mostly, but I am pretty sure thet are 7/8. With these you can really fine tune your bar posistion ie. foward, back and up. Do a google search for ROX riser and a few sites where you can buy them will pop up. GOOD LUCK I think they come anti vibe as well if you want. Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted December 6, 2005 Author Report Posted December 6, 2005 Thanks for all the replies so far... the other question is how much this will affect using the stock controls. I am betting you probably have to run a different clutch cable, and throttle cable? New brake lines?? Any help??? Thanks! Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I like my bars high ( being 6'1'') and I run a +1 1/2 stem w/atv high bend renthal fatbars and the adapters and didn't have to lengthen anything. I also recently came across some acerebis bars that are pretty high and dobble adjustable, you may wanna check them out, there 7/8 Quote
banshee tuner Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I have the msr dominator aluminum bars with the atv bend, they only cost like 35 bucks but I did have to get a longer brake cable so I added stainless lines on the front. I am 6'1 and they are perfect for me. Quote
