Dude if you are gonna spend that much money you might as well get a vette.  Nothing like a Chevy  :headbang:.  No comparison between the vette and those other cars.  The vette would hands down smoke them all.  But then again that's just me I guess... :shrugani:

No I'm pretty sure it is, kind of like a Mercury is just a fancy Ford.

Not even close. Mercury is just a rebadged Ford. The Lexus is its own car company. Its owned by toyota, and they share platforms on a couple cars, but they aren't the same. The LS has no toyota counterpart.

Well, Im not going to argue, and try to convince you of anything about lexus, but every comparison that the LS has been in (car and driver, motortrend, etc... ) it comes out of top of Mercedes, BMW, everyone. Call it a cheap luxury car if you want, but its not.

And yeah jaguar to ford would be a better comparison, but Jag still sucks, resale value next to nothing. You would have to give me a Jag.

Exactly what i was thinking, chevy is the ONLY choice here. Id go for the newest WS6 TA i could find, or a badass vette, youll blow both those cars out!!!

Heres a better idea, if you want a fast car that still can haul some people.  Mercedes E55 AMG.  It should be quicker than the Dodge too.  And last longer, and hold its value longer.

When I was at school in Germany our prof had a Mercedes AMG not sure which one but he gave us some great rides on the autobahn. I still think he should just get a Porsche, sport and luxury.

The two cars he's asking about are four door sedans, not two door coupes so I doubt the 'vette is even an option.

If you want nothing but pure speed, get the Dodge. But when you're sitting in the dealer's waiting room for the twenteeth time while its getting something repaired remember what I'm saying.

Like I said before, just look at Consumer Reports and let the "people" give the right advise. That LS 430 is the BOMB!

If I was in the market for a luxery sedan there would be no shopping around.

Rooster :bolt:

PS: As for Ford screawing up the Jag.....those cars have always been a piece of shit. I'm more pissed that Ford bought them in the first place. With the Ford patform at least you can drive one to the grocery store without worring about getting home.
