ellison445 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Drag Race I take it, What gear did you start in? You should have beat him on pavement, Dirt he will straight out stomp you Then Again, I saw a yfz450 get smoked by a Vforce 700 yesterday Quote
Nate-Dogg Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 Yeah drag race, we were moving start 3rd, 4th gear, tried both. The Alba pipe on his 450 is so fucking loud I can barely here my bike Quote
simonsays Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Get some V force reeds, and light weight heads and rape his ass.... Quote
bigboybanshee Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Get some V force reeds, and light weight heads and rape his ass.... 442407 He's gonna need more than that...I say cut out all BS and just get a good port job with some bigger carbs; guaranteed you will win Quote
stuntmasta3o5 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 My question is.. did you cut your front fenders? Quote

PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 You're going to need to change your gearing to get your top speed up there with his. What gearing are you running? from 3rd gear on up it shouldn't have taken very long to get to wide open in 6th and he had the mph advantage. did you have the r's up in 3rd? in the powerband or not? Quote
Ducman Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 450's on stock grearing dont have as fast of a top speed as a banshee so he must have geared up, you'll need to go to a larger front to match the top speed. I'd say you'd need to get ported to out do the 450 in acceleration. With porting you should spank the 450 on asphalt. Quote
Nate-Dogg Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 Both Bikes have stock gearing. And yes,I still have to cut the fenders Quote
NYUK Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 dollar wise, get it ported, he won t have a chance, a good port job and pistons would cost less than 500 beans . and your bike would be as reliable as stock.he would be scratching his head, dollar for dollar a banshee is the easiest bike to extract hp from.break down and just send the cylinders to get ported. Nate-Dogg Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 (edited) Thanks for all the suggestions. I will defitiantly look into getting it ported in the future. But first I have to make my 1st payment HAHA! Edited November 28, 2005 by Nate-Dogg Quote
namshee Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Both Bikes have stock gearing. And yes,I still have to cut the fenders 442460 what size tyres was he running?? i find it hard to believe that a stock (apart from piping etc) 450 can whip a shee with t5's on tarmac on top end.... port job is the answer though (and dont forget the gearing, or else you will run outof revs...
