BigRed350x Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 (edited) I just spent like an hour out in the garage cutting all those stupid useless brackets off my frame. I'm going to take her in the garage at work tomarrow and grind off the old welds. I'm planning on sending her out for a nice powdercoat some time around feb. What do you guys think... Green frame / Black plastics or Organge frame / Black plastics Whichever color I go with, I am going to do the hubs the same color. I'm going to get the heat shields chromed, and I am thinking about getting the nerf bars chromed too. Going to re-chrome my pipes. Also thinking about chroming the bars, but not sure. Already have chrome A-Arms too. Any of the guys in the Rock Springs / Utah area wanna go the PC'er at the same time to see if we can get a group discount? Anyway... what color... green or orange? Kinda thinking about blue too. Going to go with the black plastics though, nothing else. Edited November 28, 2005 by BigRed350x Quote
decon Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 blue would look good... but out of the green and orange i would pick green Quote
ScrewMachine Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Did the same grinding/cutting thing 'bout 8 months ago.....lots a fun, eh? ......whatever color ya decide, don't do orange frame/black plastics. Be original, not like rzcolo A nice dull mint green frame w/ black would be sweet....how 'bout a powder blue frame with black??? Quote
dawarriorman Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Dark metallic green frame. Quote
chris642 Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 i want to do a dark green with metallic flakes on my KX 125 frame, getting the right shade is hard without seeing actual pictures, good luck!! Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 OK, so since people are wanting blue, which color should I go with between blue and green? Going to go with either color, then like some kind of metal flake in it probably. Quote
BigRed350x Posted November 28, 2005 Author Report Posted November 28, 2005 I am thinking like the color of green that the slymer character is. That, black plastics, and some chrome I think would look sick. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Black Green and Chrome is so fuckin sick it hurts. I've seen a few drag bikes this color and its just awesome. Usually green is the primary color. The frame, hubs, and tank/rad shroud. Chrome is the secondary with neary everything thats steel chromed, and if it aint polished aluminum its chrome plated aluminum. Finally black is the tertiary color. Front and rear plastics, tires, and the seat cover. The one I saw (that I wish I had a picture of) had some sort of black/green thing going on so it wasn't just one solid color. Definitely a scheme I'd like to do one day. Quote

I didn't notice much diff anywhere else, just the low end. Quote
