BansheeBoy17
If you want to be running smooth and fast I recommend shocks a-arms axle tires. I've got a set of YFZ450 shocks I am looking to get $200 shipped for.

FASTOYS
For cheap i would recommend a timing plate and advance the timing. Then a cool head for more cooling and compression. Then porting if you can afford it! Axle and shocks are also a good choice for mx.
macgillivary
im on a budget too and heres my setup so far no name +4 axle i got off ebay shortened stock swingarm 8 inch blue labels with 18 inch turf tamers yfz shocks up front, eyeball +3+1 arms 19inch holeshots up front renthal bars DG nerfs dynoport 2 into 1 pipe and dual fmfs modquad head with 21 cc domes(could just shave your stock head) ported stock reed cages lightened flywheel, +7 timing motofast 2 into 1 carb setup with a 40mm lectron and my bike runs pretty good, i have a desert tank but thats cuz i can ride from my house to a track but its a long ways so i wanted that no porting done yet but soon enough so ya its not cheap to make a "budget" mx banshee i dont mean to discourage ya first tho get some shocks and widen out that bitch and make it hook up, worry about the power second, banshees have nuts even just with a pipe and filter Edited November 24, 2005 by macgillivary
decon
you should get the suspension hooked up first before anything...that's most important...might need a good $1000+ , extended a-arms, front shocks, shortened stock swinger, rebuilt rear shock, extended axle, etc.
knight_ripper
suspension suspension suspension. after a few races youll see what we mean. the banshee has suspension thats 15 years outta date. Once you widen it and soften her up, youll have a new bike. You will then be getting all that banshee power to the ground...instead of just spinnin in the air. but then again...Ur only 16. U gotta lotta shakin and bumpin and crashin to do.....have fun with what you got...go out there and race...its a blast. worry about modin her later. PUSH THE THROTTLE
Don't forget about the G-force axle, it's a cheaper alternative to the others and it has a lifetime warranty.
