CadillacBanshee Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 i just put skats on my bike and when i try to take off in second it boggs then takes off after a few seconds. When i take off in first the bike flips on me. What could me the problem with my second? i changed the rear gear to one more tooth that stock. Quote
23champ Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 Switch the rear back to a 41, drop the front sprocket one tooth (to a 13). Quote
blueshee03 Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 another thing i found when mine done that is dropping pilot jets one size helped.don't know if it will help you though.you could try sitting up almost on tank, launch it in second and after it launches slide back.it should make it spin a little this way. odaen Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 before you change your gearing... Have you tried positioning yourself on the bike differently, like teabagging your gascap when you launch? You can also play with your tire pressures some too. You can double clutch your 2nd gear launches too. Just so many factors to consider. What mods do you have right now? What gearing? What paddles? What's the sand like (wet or dry)? Answering these will help us help you. Quote
wesw Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 you can air your tires up for more sping and you might have to play with gearing. like champ said try a 13 front and 41 rear to launch Quote

CadillacBanshee Posted November 27, 2005 Author Report Posted November 27, 2005 I went to glamis this weekend to run it. The front gear is stock and the rear is one more tooth. on my bike i have a 10" extension, t5's, reeds, 2 into 1 air filter, timing plate at +2, reed spacers, and the pistons are 3 sizes over (weisco pro lites). I lowered my tire pressure a bit and then i was able to take off in second but i still can't pop the clutch when dragging. Quote

420_Big_Bore Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 (edited) This is just my oppinion, but i would be running twin airfilters for a more clean and crispier response. Like UNI Filters. And if you have an airbox on, i suggest take it off. This is just from my own experience. Edited November 27, 2005 by 420_Big_Bore Quote

smkmupbanshee Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Definately to long of a swingarm with the bike. I would change it out for a plus 6 IMO. Then play with the gearing. Quote
