2 Many Toys Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) I am new to banshee hq and I have been reading alot about the cheetah cylinders. Right now I have a set of cylinders that were built by K&T Performance. They have a really aggressive port job and run awesome on my bike. But as with the rest of us I would like more power. I have FTZ 35mm carbs and I am running 18cc domes because the elevation here is over 5,000 ft. I have v-force reeds and CPI pipes. I really would like to know more about the cheetah cylinders and what you guys think about them. I know they make a cheetah cub as well. Do you think this would be the best bang for the buck. Will I have to change the carbs or will they work on this new setup? If I were to buy the cheetah setup do you have any ideas on what my current cylinders would be worth if I sold them? I believe they are only bored .30 over. Sorry for all the questions but it is alot of money to spend and I want to make sure I do the right thing. Also where is the best place to buy this setup. Any info would be greatly appreciated. ? Edited October 30, 2005 by 2 Many Toys Quote

bkabina Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) Jim from Passion Racing (918-232-3950) can hook you up for an awesome price on Cubs or big Cheetahs.K&T ported stock jugs have been going for $300. and up.It realy depends on the port work. 2 Many Toys Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 I'll try calling him. Do you think I can keep my carbs on this new setup? Do you have to do anything to the cubs such as porting or anything to make them run good? Quote
bkabina Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Your carbs will work fine. They pretty well unported, but there is always room to grow. Quote
2 Many Toys Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 Does the Cub kit come with a head? What other parts would I need to buy before I could bolt this kit on? Quote
rocketboy Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) yep, theres plenty of room for improvement even o n the cubs IMO ,your carbs and head wil l work fine ,,definitly get a cub theyre awesome and youll be pleased with the power :bolt:id call jim at passion racing ,you wont find a better deal on cubs ,try a search theres lots of info on here Edited October 31, 2005 by rocketboy Quote
2 Many Toys Posted October 31, 2005 Author Report Posted October 31, 2005 This may be a dumb question but they make the cubs in the 4mm and 7mm. Whats the difference? Obviously size, but performance wise is there any? Does one have an advantage over the other? I am new to the cubs. Quote
banshee x Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 The difference is the stroke 4 mil is pretty common and not as expensive as a 7 mil,it just depends on how much money you have to spend and what kind of riding you'll be doing Quote
locogato11283 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 4mm = drop in and go...and cheaper 7mm= trenched cases and expensive ass crank... id go with 4mm or 350 cubs.. Quote
