macgillivary Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 you got it, more compression means your motor cant spin over as fast not sure how much you lose on revs but you do Quote
locogato11283 Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 i think so..noticeable difference in me and my bros old setups...i had 21cc domes andh eh ad 18cc...more compression is hard on parts, especially in a drag situation... Quote
DIABLO BANSHEE Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 thanx guys, that's what i thought,i lost alot of over rev with the 17cc domes i just got done putting my 19's in,she'll be back to her good old self now.i guess some things i gotta learn the hard way$$$$ Quote
Fireman-hott Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Like stated above you'll lose some over-rev. But with a highercompression you'll gain some low end if your doing trails and the like. My last trail top end was running 220psi/cylinder. Had gobs of low end torque, coupled with a 2 into 1 pipe and 2 into 1 carb wow. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 just loosen your spark plugs up a little, that should cause your compression to go down a little....right Quote
Robert Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 just loosen your spark plugs up a little, that should cause your compression to go down a little....right 431000[/snapback] Never heard that before, and dont think I would try it. Quote
