Bansh88 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 My throttle cable is super tight on my new 2into1 setup. Like fudged up tight. I was gonna try and use one of these luber gizmos. What is the trick with this? I've seen it used once on a clutch and teh guy just pulled his clutch and attatched it to the exposed cable. Do this with the throttle too? Wont the lube get into the carbs? Any help? Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 I don't think you have it setup right or you have the wrong cable. Is it the trinity setup? Brand new cable too? If it's new it's not a lube problem. Check to see if it's kinked, bent weird or something. Make sure your carb slide operates correctly, should be an easier push than stock carbs. Quote
suzuki0702 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 had a problem like this, make sure ur tank isnt pinching the cable .. Quote
Shee-Male Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 the luber works the same but I take the tops off the carbs or lube will get in there. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 (edited) try it some Edited October 20, 2005 by Justintoxicated Quote
Wallrat Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 If its a steel braided terry cable then you're screwed. Those things are notoriously tight. Quote

Bansh88 Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 Ya. Its a terry cable. Its good to go now! Looks like when I was screwing the Carb cap on, the spring was getting twisted. Just screwed the top on slowly and pulled the throttle a bit. Nice n schmoove now. Quote
grounded Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Hey man, From reading some of your stuff on Glamis Dunes, it sounds like you do most of your riding during the week days. I myself work week end nights, leaving pretty much monday thru thursday open. Another one of my riding buddies is off sunday thru tuesday. With that said we should plan a week trip to gordons or something. Let me know if your down for something like this . OH yeah WTF is a flat biller? Is it someone who charges a set rate regardless of seeing the work? or Someone whos hats bill is not formed or rounded? or Someone who irons their money? Later Quote
Bansh88 Posted October 26, 2005 Author Report Posted October 26, 2005 Flatbillers are the Mullsiha wannabe bundle of stickss with all the trendy jack like spike belts, black socks...yadayadayada. The Flatbill hat tops it off. Ya me and a few buddies go out early a lot. Let me know next time you do a Gordos run. I havent been there in a while and have been itchen to go. I have Thurs, fri, sat off. GD.com always has people going out early too. You should go to 13.5 this weekend. I wanna see how similar our bikes are. Quote
