racer714
I have a dynoport 2 into 1 and the front main pipe runs real hot all the way to the stinger, its even melted a couple of gaskets at the stinger, any input?? is it probably lean jetting? how about air screws???? bigboybanshee
Well, honestly I would think that since your pushing two cylinder's exhaust through one pipe that it would definitely run hotter than normal, but if it's hot enough to melt gaskets, etc., it could be too lean as you were thinking. What do your plugs look like?
racer714
hae to wait tilll sunday to do a high speed chop, otherwise they alomost look rich??!!!!
bigboybanshee
hmmmmm, interesting. Has it done this all along or did it just recently start feeling hotter than usual? Typically the bike will run a little cooler if the jetting is rich. Also, have the temperatures in your area been hotter than normal? racer714
seems like it s always been that way, I noticed the jet hot coating near the cylinders is starting to get kinda rough and brittle feeling also
Shee-Male
It might be that the timing is to retarded otherwise its a carb/jetting issue. Put a fresh set of plugs then see what they look like?
2strokesmoke
i have a motofast i live about 50 miles from you mine has been running a little warmer in the fall weather but not hot enough to melt gaskets but my pipe has always got pretty warm prob air fuel screw did you change gas or mixture mine is sensitive to any change lets ride sometime
macgillivary
maybe its just the pipe itself i got a 2 into 1 pipe and dual fmfs on slow trails my temp gauge can get close to 200 with the 2 into 1, but the fmfs always stay at the normal temp around 160-170, rarely will go up to 180 my jetting is on too i just play with my lectron and its done so maybe just these pipes are hotter but then again im measuring coolant not exhaust
2twin350s
i run a motofast 2 into 1 on both my shees. your main jets should be at least 240s. and that is if your less than 50 over on your bores. 250s will be good for 50 over on your bores.
