Just go buy a used one. You will end up being way over 2k if you try to build one from the ground up. The engines are simple and easy to work one once you have done a few. I can tear down the entire engine and rebuild it without using a clymer any more. Only open it up if I forget a torque spec.

You would be much better off to buy a used one. Maybe fine a cheap one in rag shape and spend the extra you saved on some nice parts.

tOj, a member of the forums, built his banshee from the ground up, you can talk to him for some insight...but I would sugest you just buy a cheap used one...thats the best route.

I highly doubt you can build your own banshee for 2,000

you mean from the frame up? Maybe a rolling chassis

yes the frame/ground up. I thought maybe it could be done. I'm not looking to build a chromed out monster just an average nice looking 'shee. :notworthy:

And Decon thanks for that info.

Hey man, for 2k you will find trouble to make a banshee, the one you posted on e-bay looks beat to me.... I wouldn't buy it plain and simple...When I was looking for a new banshee I planned on spending over 5k....I looked a litlle bit and found this 01 sat in my friends basement for years....Had 2 hours on engine! Came with FMF pipes, Boost Bottle, K&N, Since then I put rad valves on it and Painted a lot of misc stiff on her...I am redoing it this winter pc the frame, bumpers, coolheads bigger carbs, bigger radiator, and maybe new rims..and body stuff....Anyway I just took my time and got it for 1900....I have been offered 3700 by a close friend before too! Sorry about hoiw freaking big the pic is too.

Gonna have to agree with midnite here ;)

I also agree with Midnite and the wheels are running with silver paint and the tires do not have 2 hrs on them unless he was fire riding on hot coals. Baldies

Thaks a bunch for the info guys and yeah dead op that one looks alot cleaner nice than the one i bid on. props

So you guys think I could get better. The guy told me the reserve and it was $1750.

Only problem is I live in Biloxi, Mississippi. So finding a decent ATV in decent pickup decent is hard due to hurricane katrina.

So i'm kind of in a pickle not alot of options. Or I guess I could keep looking but with only having $2k in my hand to spend shipping is kinda out of my price range. oh what to do...
