  1. My banshee is stock i'm 275lbs and when I learned how to whip this puppy it hauls enough to scare me, lol. My filter is basically falling apart too haha.. k&ns soon.. anyways. I really don't see the need to upgrade mine after stock either.. lol it hauls fast enough for me now.. never rode a dirtbike before well once when I was 16 and I popped the cluth and it pretty much flipped me LOL. Now I stay on atleast 4 wheels. like woah
  2. bumppskiii rockin! I just got my puller and flywheel nut off today, had to take it to autoshop let the guy do it with impact of course. soon as we removed the flywheel sure enough you could see the copper coils severed on some of the perimeters. Slapped used one on and now she cranks on first kick everytime better than it did when I bought it, big thanks to all on forum who helped and to the compilers of the elecfaq! waaahooo -- now i gotta go get that nut impacted back on and she bees runnin gud. hah.

(full set) *Or where can I buy a fullset of new black fullbores online for best price?* LMK Trail tech lights or look alikes T5's fairly good condition/useable or used rocket pipes or drag pipes need silencers aswell. or in the $250 range for pipes dont gotta be mint just some shin e and work... billet pieces in semi decent condition. need covers etc. (mainly covers, especially stator) not mint but in semi decent looking and working condition. let me know what you got and just give me a decent price like i said not looking for totally mint here just in working condition really except for plastics. pics will help alot.. would be nice. I should have said. just one coil and send the power out to the cdi for the ignition coil(cdi steps it up and fires) and then have power out to the voltage regulator seperate(to regulate the voltage). Why the need for two coils of the stator? I still don't quite get that one. That way wouldn't effect the spark would it? Isn't that the purpose of the regulator. Doesn't the stator still supply the same amount to power both why the need for stator to be split into two coils/sections? Or am I missing something here? like I said. Just was curious on this and thanks a bunch for the info thus far guys! appreciate it.
  11. So the stator iteself the donut copper wired wrapped part is actually split up into 2 parts/coils for power? Is that why there is two wires soldered to it? the red and green wires? Is this correct? if not please explain more. Also why the need to split the stator itself into two coils for the lighting and ignition? instead of just one and send the power out to the cdi like the ignition coil or cdi to voltage regulator.   12. Hey guys this has been puzzling me. How can a banshee with a bad stator light up lights on kick at night... but yet no spark from plugs. Yes I ohm'ed the continuity between the red and green and got nothing not even a continuity beep via digital ohm meter. Regardless how is this possible? I tested my new stator that came in used working red/green got continuity beep etc. So obviously something is fouled with my stator. But how is this possible? If the red/green give no continuity beep(current stator on my bike). The stator/flywheel(spining) creates the kinetic into electric? So how come it can power them just enough to where I can see it at night. Yet no spark at all. Like I said new used working stator i just got red/green got contuity beep and reading. Old stator currently in my bike red/green no beep no reading, nothing. "You could possibly be looking at a coil, but I might run the resistance numbers on the stator. The lighting and ignition windings of the stator are separate, so it is possible to have lights, but no spark." -quote from another poster off BHQ.com Can the stator still be bad and produce power to the lights if so how? and not supply power to the ignition coil/spark. I know they are seperate so is the voltage reg. but how is it possible? Any elec gurus? This has been nawing at me for awhile i'd like to learn about this thanks.
  13. hah I hear yah.. it's always something lol. Anyways was just wondering. I'll post back here also after I test each of mine i'm gonna do the ignition coil for kicks but i'm pretty sure it's the ol stator. even the ohm meter got nothing on the red and green test. anyways good luck my shee is all i have to ride. Atleast you have others haha
  14. hey bolt, any update on this? What was broke? i'm interested to know. my shee is doing the same exact thing btw. I bought it back two weeks ago stock and got to ride it fine for two days about then blammo no spark and my lights fire also. Anyways I had a cold the past two days and it's finally easing up. I finally got my parts(used working stator and ignition coil) in yesterday but now i'm waiting on my flywheel puller. Then hopefully i'll be cruising. Anyways let me know how it goes.

  22. looking mainly for some new plastics and pipes, lakers are the best aftermark plastics that i can afford probably or? Want a blue or black colored lakers or might take a real nice condition oem blue/white plastics. Also the pipes don't have to be totally perfect i'm not looking for alot of gain out of them, more for show on my bike to spruce it up. Anything that shines for pipes because the stock blacks have to go. Also interested in both side billet/chrome or etc covers. let me know, would really like to see pics and or feedback of stuff and price.   23. Yeah, since you bring it up though with the electrical FAQ and using it, it says this. "Your ohmmeter should read between 13.7 and 20.5 Ohms, so if it reads 15 Ohms your stator ignition coil is OK, if it reads
  24. Might wanna grab the ol ohm meter with me and do some electrical diagnosing cause mine just died after two days of getting to use it. Maybe the banshees are doing it in honor of halloween. wooo spooky. joking but here's the electical FAQ with them ohm numbers. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html Mine wont spark either no matter how hard I kick it, lol.. waiting for a few new parts that hopefully fixes the prob-lemo.
