I ran a search on this one but dont even know what to call them

I am adjusting the carbs on the banshee and there is one screw on the left hand side of each carb with a nut on it. I have no idea what it does and deosn't seem to effect the running. They go right though into the card around the slide area.

Are they trottle stops? Cant find them in the book either (not the the black and white photos are much good.

thanks for the help

It sounds like you have a tors removal kit on your carbs. The screw you are talking about it the idle for each carb. They usually don't work that great, thats why they don't do anything when you turn them. Make sure the lock-nut is tight so they don't fall out and cause your motor to run lean.

alright, thanks. I cant get the damn thing to idle I figure I need to find out what all the screws do.

It will run if I hold the throttle open but bogs down at idle.

Oh and the screws I am talking about are brass if that helps

you need to turn them in loosen up the set nut and trun them in 1 side at a time this will get your idle. turn them till the motor revs alillte then back them out 1/8 turn then they will be set. Your bike should idle then

Hopefully when the TORS removal kit was installed , enough material was filed off of the idle screw bosses( where the hole for those brass screws were drilled and tapped) When you loosen up that nut, and turn the screws in clockwise, they should lift up the slides a little to get an idle.
