mud91 Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 whats your elevation? Sounds little lean on the main. My brother in law has the dmc's and I have the fatty's their almost dead even with equal weight riders. Quote
Blackmon Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 yeah that does sound a little too lean..i would try going up a few sizes on your mains Quote
2_stroke_me03 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 my cousin has those pipes and he runs 270 jets and it runs great he beats banshees with tommeys and fmf sst Quote
banshdog Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Same opinion as the rest........ depending on your elevation, i would think that you need to go up on your mains. Quote
Fastbansh Posted September 29, 2005 Author Report Posted September 29, 2005 my elavation is about 1000 feet above sea level....also i have reed spacers does that affect anything Quote
i12gofast Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 They wont affect your jetting, try 270 - 280. Quote
Banchetta Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Your dealer put a basic jetting kit in. Most kits recommend 240 mains for pipes. Like everyone else said. Start w/ a 270 and make sure you mods the air box lid or remove it...You'll gain another 4hp. Quote
midnite Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 If you are using a lid, try 280's. No lid, try 330's. Either way, run it at wot. If it boggs or stumbles at wot in 6th gear, try the next size smaller. If it doesn't bog try the next size bigger. Quote
