biodave27 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I don't know if any of you check out this site often, but it has alot of cool stuff on it here is a new engine design on there I thought was really interesting. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/quasiturbine.htm Quote
Hadar Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Very intriguing concept, it helps to see it in motion. Quote
BigRed350x Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Looks like a modified design of a rotary engine. Same idea. Seems like it would be difficult to get balanced. Quote
snowprophet1 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I'd be curious to see what kind of power output it has in terms of lbs of fuel per hour compared to a 2 stroke, 4 stroke, and diesel, and also what kind of rpms it can turn before it lets loose! Looks cool. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 didn't like mazda or somebody make the rotary engine. Those were kinda weird. Some canadians came down to the dunes and had those motors in their buggies and they seemed to go pretty good. Quote
racer Posted September 23, 2005 Report Posted September 23, 2005 they are called wankels, as thats the manufacturer. lol they run damn good, and respond to boost quite well. Quote
