Hadar Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I've been hearing conflicting stories on which is better. I currently have a k&n and I was told by my buddy to scrap it and go w/ a uni. I don't want to buy a uni and then find out that the k&n is better. Can someone set the reccord stright for me? I ride in alot of dust sometimes and I don't want to cash out my engine from not having the right filter. On a side note: My Shee is running like a raped ape thanks to the tips, facts and people on this forum. This place is great and I got to say LONG LIVE THE BANSHEE!!!! 4 strokes are for sellouts and the meek, Banshee riders are neither. (no offence to 4-strokers, After all I have one. I just don't like it.) Quote
locogato11283 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 i will NEVER run any foam filter again..the stock one on my 450 fell apart afterthe first time i cleaned it..for the craptor project i used 4 uni filters at first..they choked the motor down so severely it would not run..bought 4 k and n's and the fucker runs like a striped ass ape. bottom line, dont fall for the "foam filters are great" bullshit. they are junk. stick with your k and n... iceman Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 k&ns are best for dusty conditions. Quote
macgillivary Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 just keep the K&N oiled properly and it will catch anything that comes at it Quote
