Wallrat Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Only took 6 weeks and $300 to finish it - now I just gotta get the rest of the boat looking less ghetto: http://forums.wakeboarder.com/viewtopic.php?p=687168#687168 Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Jeezus Matt, how many boats do you have?? Looks nice, what color PC? Quote

locogato11283 Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 thats a tiny swingset!!! Quote
racer Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 its a wakeboarding tower. by rasing the heightthat the rope mounts to the boat, its easier to get air. plus you can mount speakers and board holders from it. they are freakin sweet. Quote
Indubitably Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 Nice were lookin into gettin one for our boat , just can't justify spending 2 g's for one Quote
Wallrat Posted September 6, 2005 Author Report Posted September 6, 2005 I basically got the general idea from www.inboardtalk.com. After that I drew out a few designs on paper, then photoshopped it on a pic of the boat. Once satisfied there I started measuring and doing the math. So yeah I guess you could say its basically a copy of a $2300 Flight Control Tower, but with mods to the lower portion (bends are reversed on a F.C. tower). It's gonna be navy blue, same as the boat trim as soon as my graphics stuff comes in. Speaking of which DEMON, I gotta get with Travis and find out if his mom/stepdad do boat upholstery as well. That'll be coming up in the near future, probably xmas time. 2 boats, this one and a trimaran (sailboat). I'm actually doing work to both at the same time if you can imagine that. My hobbies have taken over my life... Quote

Better hurry up with this boat nonsense, Glamis season is almost here. Quote
Wallrat Posted September 7, 2005 Author Report Posted September 7, 2005 Oh darn, I have to take the boat to Havasu (hehe)? Now if I was really good I would have gotten it all ready to go right before Labor Day weekend- that way I could take the boat out on the lake with the new interior. I still have to build the interior before I can take it to Travis' fam. Captain's chair, wraparound seating, sun deck, built in subwoofer box...Not sure when I'll be starting that part of the project. Do they have fabric examples or something? I was gonna buy the captain's chair but I don't want it to not match the rest of the interior. Regardless, I've got the vinyl for the exterior on order so that should be going on hopefully soon. Before that I gotta pull the cyls off the shee and get em to Kevin - should be doing that over the weekend. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 Better call him, he's very busy getting ready for the sand sports super show. Not sure on the sample thing, I'll find out and let you know. Quote
