Handyman Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Went out for a quick spin on the shee and the problem I had came back along with a new one. The banshee revved kinda high and would not rev down. So I hit the kill switch to off position and it still ran, turned the key offand it still ran. I had it in gear and slowly let off the clutch and I started to roll. I then put on the brakes and dumped the clutch and killed it. kicked it again and it ran fine. Does anyone have any ideas?? If no the she goes to the shop on payday. Quote

rocketboy Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 the kill switch wire may be faulty, grounding out, and short circuiting off the frame or its ready to "cross the finsh line " id inspect that if it were me. Quote
2twin350s Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 sounds like you lost a ground in your harness, or check near your cdi box there is a ground bolted to your frame. in most cases when you use your switches they ground the system to kill the coil. Quote
Brian060 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 same thing happens to me and my buddy. It usually happens after you hit water. I just slam on the break and kill the engine, nothing else works except turning off the gas. The shee was screamin until i killed it. To me, its not worth fixing, it happens very rarely. BTW i have my kill switch removed. HOWEVER, since it happend last, i installed a pro design kill switch. I've yet to see if that works Quote
