409Banshee Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 I've been told that I need to run a mix of 93/110 at 32:1. Another shop told me that I can run straight 93 at 32:1. I currently run the first mix with excellent results. Vito's said I can run the 93, but I'd have to redo the ignition back to stock timing, which I really don't want to do. What makes it necessary to run race fuel? I'd personally like to run a full 110 mix if I can.(I can get a 55 gal. drum for 250.00) I have the 404 kit, 5mm stroker and a +4 ignition advance from Vito's, but I bought the bike used and I don't have a compression tester, so I don't know what the comp is. Banshee~ Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 We can help you if you dont know your compression, or know what size domes you have. If the mix your running did fine, than it should be good running that octane, but I would get a compression tester so you can be sure. Quote
chris642 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 i have 150 PSI and run 93, pretty much any higher you should use race gas. pick up a compression tester, $30 well spent!!! Quote
RNBRAD Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 What makes it necessary to run race fuel? Compression of 160 or higher and or advanced timing. Quote
bansheeryder21 Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 I am installing a cooled head and 20cc domes. DLnoss said that my compression would be around 170. He told me to run %20 race with 80% pump! Quote
hittintrees srh Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Has anyone tried VPu2? I heard that shit is the shit. Quote
Animalman294 Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 If NOSSman told you to run 20% and 80% then do it, the man knows what he is doing. Enough said................................ Quote
