midnite
I don't know anything about a single carb on a shee, but the needle has nothing to do with the idle.
Dunsmoor86
All I can think of is make sure that pilot isn't plugged. I'm taking it idled before you put the smaller jets in?
01 B4C
The only jet that controls your idle is the pilot jet. Did you check if it was clogged? When was the last time the carb (s) were cleaned? Did it ever idle with the current combo? My Banshee did the same thing when I bought it. I discovered a clogged pilot jet in only one of the carbs. I cleaned both carbs and it idled fine. The needle clip and/or jet really only comes into play around half throttle. Check this site for some great info: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html

Guest blew duece
you might have to bite the bullit and take the slack out of your throttle cable till it idles
